Our Oasis
In a quiet corner on the north-eastern side of Mallorca, near the medieval town of Arta, lies Finca Son Gener, our ‘Oasis'. More than just a hotel, this converted historic building will be our home for the duration of the programme. With no other guests, the Oasis group will have exclusive use of the dining room, lounging areas, spa, pools, terraces and gardens. The only noises you will hear are the birds in the trees and the sound of sheep-bells.Son Gener is an 18th century farmhouse recently converted by a Mallorcan architect-designer into a rural residence (‘Finca') of understated elegance. We have chosen it for its beautiful blend of tradition, minimalist design and comfort. The house, set in the rolling hills with the sea only 5 kilometres away, feels both deeply relaxing and uplifting. The guest rooms have every modern comfort (flat screen TV, CD player, full bathroom with bathrobes, private terrace, AC,) and in the house and garden, there are several seating areas for conversation or simply relaxing.
Meals will be elegant and light, freshly prepared from local produce including organic vegetables from Son Gener's own garden. Wines served with the meals will be Mallorcan. Some of the meals will be taken in nearby towns.
The Spa, like the hotel, is exclusively for our use and offers a full range of facilities including a sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, gym and yoga room. There is both an outdoor and indoor pool. We will offer a ‘stretching session' every morning and a massage will be included in the programme. Additional Spa treatments, such as facials, manicure and pedicure will also be available.
Nearby, there are several quiet beaches and small port towns such as Port Nou and Cala Rajada. The medieval town of Arta is 3 ½ kms away. Visits to some of these places will be part of the Oasis programme. Several golf courses are within easy reach.
